À compter du 31 octobre 2018, Office 365 ne prendra plus en charge les versions 1.0 et 1.1 de TLS, les clients/devront supporter TLS 1.2.

Microsoft vient de publier une mise a jour contenant des informations importantes:

As of October 31, 2018, Office 365 will no longer support TLS 1.0 and 1.1. This means that Microsoft will not fix new issues that are found in clients, devices, or services that connect to Office 365 by using TLS 1.0 and 1.1.

Note This doesn't mean Office 365 will block TLS 1.0 and 1.1 connections. There is no official date for disabling or removing TLS 1.0 and 1.1 in the TLS service for customer connections. The eventual deprecation date will be determined by customer telemetry and is not yet known. After a decision is made, there will be an announcement six months in advance unless we become aware of a known compromise, in which case we may have to act in less than six months to protect customers who use the services.

Nous sommes actuellement dans une phase de transition dans laquelle les utilisateurs sont amenés a utiliser Skype Entreprise et Microsoft Teams pour des besoins différents au sein de la même organisation.

Actuellement, les modes de coexistances disponibles étant:

Island: Les utilisateurs peuvent utiliser Teams et Skype Entreprise en tant que deux solutions distinctes offrant des fonctionnalités similaires et indépendantes, telles que le chat, les appels et les réunions.

Skype Only: Les utilisateurs utilise seulement Skype Entreprise pour les fonctionnalités de discussion, de réunion et d’appel. Ils n’utilisent pas Teams pour les équipes et les canaux.

Pour des organisations utilisant Skype Entreprise comme outil de collaboration, appel et conférence, et Teams, pour le travail d'équipe, le mode "Skype for Business with Teams collaboration" est idéal.

Lors de la mise en place d'un design et le déploiement d'un environnement robuste, avoir la capacité de mettre en oeuvre une diversité de connectivité réseau est pertinente afin d'éviter la perte d'un SBC suite a une panne de commutateur.

Depuis la version Sonus SBC 7.x, il est possible de configurer un port physique en redondance de type "failover".

Le port de redondance ne doit pas avoir d'adresse IP, dans cet exemple, le port Ethernet 3 deviendra la relève du port Ethernet 1.

Naviguer vers Node Interfaces > Ports. Sélectionner le port physique primaire.

Par défaut, la valeur Redundancy est a "None"

Modifier la valeur "Redundancy" pour "Failover" et chosir le port en redondance.

Des simples tests de déconnexion du port primaire pour valider le failover montre un basculement tres rapide vers le port secondaire, avec une perte de paquet tres minime

Importante annonce de microsoft, a partir du 1ier octobre 2018, Skype Entreprise Online (SFBO) ne sera plus inclus dans Office 365 pour les nouveaux clients (tenant) de moins de 500 sièges. Microsoft Teams est désormais le client principal pour les réunions et les appels dans Office 365.

Beginning October 1, 2018, Skype for Business online will no longer be included in Office 365 for new customers with fewer than 500 seats. Tenants that are already using Skype for Business online will be able to continue doing so (including provisioning new users) until they complete their transition to Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft vient d'annoncer une nouvelle (nouvelle) date de fin de support pour les ipbx/pbx connectés via des SBC aux services Exchange UM Online, la date officielle est maintenant le 1er décembre 2019, ce qui laisse plus de temps aux organisations pour finaliser la transition.

Update 9/12/2018: We have two important updates for customers:

1. As we prepare to discontinue support for PBX’s connecting to Exchange Online Unified Messaging, we will remove the ability for tenant admins to configure new PBX connections on or after October 8, 2018. Existing connections will not be impacted by this change.
2. Based on customer feedback, we have moved the final date to December 1, 2019 to give customers additional time for transition.

In July 2017, we announced that support for Session Border Controllers (SBC) that connect 3rd Party PBX systems to Exchange Online Unified Messaging (UM) would be discontinued as of July 2018. After feedback from customers and partners concerned about this change, we are announcing additional time for customers to prepare. The new date for discontinuation will be December 1, 2019

Rotate speakers in larger meetings

When a meeting has more than four attendees, rotate the people in the gallery so that those who have spoken most recently are displayed in the four video spots.

New Meetings-Only app

When your organization is upgraded to Microsoft Teams, your Skype for Business on Mac will now show a prompt telling you to try Teams. You will still be able to use Skype for Business to join meetings and view your previous chat history.

Fixed an issue that could cause an E-911 call to fail if the user had previously made an emergency call.
Stopped displaying emojis incorrectly in the middle of hyperlinks and other long text with embedded punctuation.
Hide the Hold and Transfer buttons in the meeting window when these features are not available.
Correctly display the chat input textbox when a peer-to-peer chat is turned into a call.
Fixed an issue that caused digits dialed on a Polycom CX300 to be dialed twice.
Fixed several crashes in unlikely scenarios.
Notify when you are talking to someone who is using Microsoft Teams.
Hide the file sharing button when you are in a conversation that doesn't support file sharing.
Fixed chat issues that resulted in failed messages in calls and conferences.
Fixed issues where screen sharing did not end once you closed the window for a call that was on hold.

Pour diverses raisons, il est nécessaire de faire un reset factory d'un Polycom Trio.

Dans notre cas, un équipement n'est plus en capacité de lancer son application.

Les étapes pour éffectuer un reset factory sont les suivantes:

1- Commencez par débrancher le périphérique de sa source d'alimentation.

2- Une fois éteint, rebranchez-le.

3- Lorsque le bouton muet s’allume, maintenir les quatre coins de l’écran LCD enfoncés et relacher lorsque la lumière clignote

4- La restauration d'usine débute

Forward Error Correction
Polycom phones support Forward Error Correction (FEC) DV0 and DV1 with Skype for Business Server 2015, Skype for Business 2015 client, and Lync 2013 environments for H.264 SVC. The scheme introduces recovery packets on the transmitter which recover lost video packets on the receiver.
FEC performance and quality improvements with this release may vary depending on network conditions.
When BToE is enabled and the video-enabled phone is paired to the Skype for Business client on your computer, the preference for transmitting and receiving video streams is given to Skype for Business client. The preference is given to VVX phones only when the phone unpairs with the Skype for Business client. You can place all Skype for Business related calls from VVX phones as audio-only irrespective of the call mode selected on the phone. However, users can choose to enable video from the paired Skype for Business client.

Use the following parameter to set the FEC codec priority:
● video.codecPref.XUlpFecUC

Simulcast Video
Polycom phones registered to Skype for Business can simultaneously send a low resolution video stream and a second higher-resolution video stream to conference participants in a Skype for Business AVMCU meeting. Simulcast is enabled by default.
Skype for Business AVMCU-based video meetings are driven by endpoint requests to receive video, which is called a video source request (VSR). The VSR specifies the resolution (among other constraints) and the participant(s) whose video the endpoint would like to display. The requested resolution in Skype for Business client video calls is based on the size of the video window and new VSRs are sent when the size of the window changes.

Centralized Conference Control Protocol (CCCP) Conference View Support

With the support of Polycom EagleEye Mini USB camera, the VVX 501 and 601 business media phones support the Centralized Conference Control Protocol (CCCP) Skype for Business conference view during a video call.

You can configure the phone allowing users to control the Skype for Business conference view during a video call. Users can set the conference view from Conference Settings menu.
Use the following parameter to configure the Skype for Business conference view settings on the phone:
● video.CCCPView

Quality of Service (QoS) for Skype for Business Video Calls

With the release and support of the Polycom EagleEye Mini USB camera, the VVX 501 and 601 business media phones support QoS of Skype for Business video calls. You can configure VVX 501 and 601 phones to receive Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP) for audio and video calls.
You can configure the phones to support QoS of Skype for Business video calls using the following parameters:
● qos.ip.rtp.dscp
● qos.ip.rtp.video.dscp

Toggling Between Audio-only or Audio-Video Calls

You can enable users to toggle between audio-only and audio-video calls.

When this feature is enabled on the video-enabled business media phones, a soft key displays to enable users to toggle calls between audio-only or audio-video. This feature also applies to audio and video conference calls in Skype for Business environments.
When the phone is registered, you can:
● Use video.callMode.default to begin calls as audio-video or audio only. By default, calls begin as audio. After a video call has ended, the phone returns to audio-only.
● If you set this parameter to audio, users can choose to add video to the call.
● Use feature.audioVideoToggle.enabled to enable users to choose audio-video before placing a call.
● If set to audio-only, users must choose to use audio-video before the call begins. After the video call ends, the phone returns to audio-only.
● Use audioVideoToggle.callMode.persistent to maintain or reset the call mode set by users.
