L'auteur du site LyncLab propose depuis hier un outil très pratique pour valider le bon déploiement d'un serveur Edge.
Fonctionnalités:
• One tool for testing both ends of the connection. Run the Lync Edge Port Tester on your Edge server and on an internal and external network machine.
• Test both UDP and TCP ports are open in both directions.
• Select a profile from the list (Edge Outside, Edge Inside, Front End, Client Outside, Client Inside) to check all the relevant ports for that connection type.
• Open all the required firewall ports temporarily with the press of a button.
• Can be used to test connections to a live Edge (or Front End) server. If you run the tool on a live edge server it will automatically learn which ports are currently in use and only allow you to Listen on unused ports.

Je viens de passer aujourd'hui avec succès la partie écrite du CCIE Collaboration.
Sans vouloir briser mon agrément au NDA lors du passage de la certification, des bonnes connaissances dans les protocoles de signalisation SIP, MGCP et H.323 sont nécéssaires, les questions touchent vraiment l'ensemble des produits voix cisco.
Maintenant prépration du lab, ce qui devrait générer beaucoup d'articles Cisco dans un futur très proche.
Actuellement, Lync dans Office 365 est un sujet d'intérêt et aussi, d'interrogation important chez nos clients.
Déjà, c'est quoi Office 365?
Il s'agit d'une suite de 5 produits en ligne Microsoft:

Vous pouvez avoir un aperçu des différences de fonctionnalités entre une installation "on-premise", plan 1 et plan 2:

Une des forces de Lync étant son intégration native avec les autres produits microsoft, vous pouvez retrouver sur ce tableau un descriptif suivant le mode de déploiement des différentes intéractions:
Actuellement, pour pouvoir offrir des services voip à certains de vos utilisateurs si votre infrastructure Lync est dans Office 365, vous devez installer aussi un environnement on premise, les deux environnements coexisteront en partageant le même domaine sip:
Actuellement, ce que l'on sait des fonctionnalités prévues dans la roadmap de la prochaine version de Lync online dans Office 365 sont:
- Les fonctionnalités voix dans le cloud: Microsoft a clairement affirmé qu'il ne souhaitait pas devenir un opérateur téléphonique, cela soulève donc des interrogations concernant l'intégration avec les systèmes existants (passerelle e-sbc?) ou les sorties voix. Sachant aussi que Skype peut être considéré comme assurant des activités d'opérateurs puisqu'elle produit des communications, l'interrogation sur la mise en services de ces futures fonctionnalités est totale;
- Connectivité vidéo avec Skype ou des tierces parties VTCs;
La migration est prévue Q2 2014.
J'ai travaillé il y a quelques temps sur une fonctionnalité venant par design lors de l'installation du client Lync 2013, le click to call dans internet explorer.
La fonctionnalité avait mystérieusement disparu.
Suite à toutes une série de tests dont la désinstallation/réinstallation d'office, des add-on, etc etc, la différence avec un poste de travail non intégré au domaine fut la présence dans la base de registre de la clé suivante:

InternetRegistry est totalement vide, assurez vous donc qu'aucune stratégie ne fut implémenté afin d'y empêcher la création d'information.
Dans le cadre d'un déploiement d'une passerelle Audiocodes sur un site distant pour assurer la communication entre Lync et le système PBX existant, malgré que la configuration fut la même sur l'ensemble des sites, on a eu l'alarme suivante sur la passerelle:
D-Channel Alarm, D-Channel is Out Of Service
Le couplage entre la passerelle Audiocodes et pbx utilise un des ports PRI disponible de ce dernier.
Le problème venait tout simplement du cable, assurez donc que la personne physiquement présent sur le site est correctement créer le câble avant de faire une série de test de troubleshooting.
Une application bien pratique de Plantronics se nommant "Smart Presence App".
Il s'agit d'une application de Plantronics qui offre des capacités améliorées de présence pour Microsoft Lync 2013 lors d'une utilisation avec Plantronics Spokes pour les logiciels Windows et micro-casques Plantronics.
