What's new
- Support for Lync Online (Office 365 hosted Lync) using Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) with RealTime Connector 1.6 and RealTime Media Engine 1.6 or 1.5. Using AD FS removes the requirement to maintain Lync user accounts in the Microsoft cloud.
- Support for Lync Certified USB phones on Linux endpoints.
- Support for backward compatibility:
- Support RealTime Connector 1.6 using RealTime Media Engine 1.5 and vice versa. Aids gradual deployment of your 1.6 system if you are already running a 1.5 system.
Note: Lync Online /ADFS integration is available only after installing RealTime Connector1.6 (with either RealTime Media Engine 1.5 or 1.6). Linux USB HID device display support is available only with Linux RealTime Media Engine 1.6 (with either RealTime Connector 1.5 or 1.6).
- There is no RealTime Media Engine 1.6 version for Mac, but the RealTime Media Engine 1.5 is fully supported with RealTime Connector 1.6. Lync USB phone support is not being offered to Mac users in this release.
