L’équipe du support OSD ConfigMgr vient de publier un billet concernant un problème pour le service WDS qui ne démarre pas lorsque vous avez activé l’option PXE sur un point de distribution (DP) de System Center 2012 Configuration Manager.
Quand vous chargez la console WDS, vous pouvez obtenir le message suivant :
Windows could not start the Windows Deployment Services Server on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Even Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, or refer to service-specific error code -1056505588.

Ceci survient car le composant dépendant Microsoft.VC90.CRT n’est pas disponible. Ce composant est fourni par une DLL de Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable, lui-même installé par le client ConfigMgr 2012.
Pour résoudre le problème, vous pouvez :
- Soit installer le client ConfigMgr 2012 si vous souhaitez gérer le serveur avec l’infrastructure
- Soit installer manuellement Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable
